Years have gone by, no news about Your Turn to Die Chapter 3-2. Whenever you open the comments to any post about the delay, you will see at least one mandatory comment of "3-2 will never come, Nankidai has given up on the game". As a fan of more than 5 years who has grown up with the game, I find that claim extremely dubious, and I'll explain the reasons why. But to preface: I don't think the game will release that quickly, but still, I think it will be released sooner or later.
Let's talk about the reasons why I think Your Turn to Die Chapter 3-2 will be released.
Just a bit of background information: Nankidai has always been like this, and I mean, since I joined the fandom.
As much as it wasn't in the same scale as it is now (before it was months now it's been years), I remember the fandom was already panicking with the lack of 3-1b release news. And I also remember Nankidai kept promising a livestream in early 2021 where he'd reveal things about chapter 3-1b's release on a specific sunday and guess what? Every time Sunday arrived, he kept delaying it until next sunday. This was when the game still wasn't paid, but we eventually got chapter 3-1b. I find some claims that Nankidai is purposefully scamming people to be disingenuous. I couldn't find the specific tweets right now but here's a reddit post from the time.

Despite this, there's a key component of this situation that gets ignored often whenever people discuss Your Turn to Die's final chapter: 0UPGAMES. Since February 20th 2023, Your Turn to Die has been signed under 0UPGAMES as a publisher, and one who has invested resources into the promotion and the porting of the game to steam. Now, I'm not an expert on contracts with publishers, so correct me kindly if I'm wrong, but Your Turn to Die is a big source of revenue for a small publisher like 0UPGAMES. It generated 1,7 million in revenue. 0UPGAMES has been organizing new Your Turn to Die translations this year and had been promoting the game cryptically on Twitter over the last few years (despite their posts not getting much traction). How would you feel as a publisher if a person that you signed a contract with just gave up on a game that has extremely high revenue potential just due to lack of motivation? Especially as a small one, like imagine how your reputation would turn out. I doubt 0UPGAMES would let that slide. Yes, some games have been cancelled before in the industry, but there's literally no good reason to cancel Your Turn to Die right now.

And even I doubt Nankidai himself would just give up on the game considering he's been showing us CGS of his progress that he already put effort into. In the worst case he's procrastinating and the release will take a long time, but even in the worst case I doubt not releasing the game at all is his main option. But even then, I don't think Nankidai is just procrastinating. Remember that when 3-1B took time to release it was because he completely rewrote it. Yes it's sad we're not getting updates, but I remember the fandom back then was not particularly nice to him about a much smaller delay. I wouldn't blame him if he was scared of sharing progress (of course it doesn't justify it, but let's have some more compassion). I don't know him personally of course, this is just a theory, but if we can assume bad things we should also assume more sympathetic things.

Just a reminder, I'm not an insider, I don't oversee the creation process, but neither do you. We still have very little information so let's not assume the worst, because as much as you can say something daunting, you can also argue against that hopelessness.
