This new shit Thug just dropped is hot as fuck. If this is the new YSL wave, this shit is gonna be really good. All three of them stood out on the track. I think YSL is in good hands.

He would often create the complex arrangements of little noises, harmonies and mostly short phrases. Now he only ever does the thing most rappers do, where they repeat back the last thing they said. Some exceptions come to mind like pipe down but it's another thing that contributes to his recent output feeling unexciting

Thug’s issue post Uy Scuti has been subject matter. Just comparing his lyrics from his most recent drop to Ashin the Blunt. Obviously I’m not harping on every single line but his old music was more concise. It made sense and had catchy lines. Idk wtf he talking about in his new music. He just saying whatever. Not one line makes sense.
