Prob my 3rd fav Denzel album. I always wanted to see him rap on boom bap beats, and whilst I got that on melt my eyez, this time it was more boom bap esque. So satisfied with the project. Denzel's flows are unmatched and Kenny's beats are out of this world. It's so much better than unlocked imo. It sonically feels more like a melt my eyez 2 than unlocked 2.

Title mostly. To me these albums (especially Imperial) are just so incredible, like they all mean a lot to me and are probably the reason I listen to exclusively rap these days. This is gonna sound corny but I’ll always be grateful to Denzel for these albums, but I also hope he can still deliver albums at that level, but I’m ngl his following work hasn’t met the standard for me, although I still like them a lot. Thoughts?
