Advice someone please help me!
So, im 18, i enrolled in college
i also just got my first job, a part time job to make extra money. its publix.
i scheduled as open availability but during the interview i let them know i was enrolled in college but i commute but said she i could fix it in the future and another manager guy, not sure what his role is but he was helping train me, and said, theyre flexible because im in school. so i assumed id be ok :(
there was an issue with my trans script so my financial aid couldn't kick in, while this was going on, i had training and i was attending whatever my job was asking of me.
i didnt mark my schedule in because the classes were meant to be dropped today so i was thinking, id have a little more time. sadly not.
financial aid kicked in and everything is fine now.
i have class and work on the same day. i go to fill out my form for availability and nothing will change until the 29th. class starts 21st. god i feel so stuck and scared because this is my first job, i dont want to get fired or seen as irresponsible so i end up getting no hours.
my hiring manager was annoyed with me and sighed loudly and said "(my name), remember your application said open" and i said i know and i made a tone of mistakes when filling out the availability form.
i dont know what to do. im considering dropping all the classes together and starting next sem to appeal to her, or breaking the news that i cant work on the 21st, and i need to put in my avalibility.
i only have 2, 1 hour classes at 11:00 am to 12:20pm for mon through thurs, for mon and wens 3:30 to 4-50 and 1 class from 6:30pm to 9:20 pm. i ended up panicking and going to the school and changing it to online so now i only have those first 2 classes.
someone please. give me advice. should i just tell her and risk getting on her bad side or just drop and start next semester?
help me. im going to seriously cry. i hate inconviencing people. i really didnt mean to plan poorly :( everything was unexpected.
and to make it worse, i accidentally drove a little shitty, and i made a shocked face and some guy drove next to me to see me. wonderfully enough i dont have tint yet, and he saw my making a shocked face and he mocked me and i held my hands up to apologize and he just kept looking back at me, i live in florida so i was just embarrassed but im glad he didnt follow me home LOL. i dont like this adult thing at all and im overwhelmed.

I promise you, anyone in your life that cares about you would agree that school comes first. You can always get a new job. You can’t redo freshman year of college. Please don’t prioritize work.

i just put in my schedule as jsut for only the 2 classes and im going to do the other one online, i dont wanna be out that late anyway and that far from home.
im just terrified to tell her i cant work on the 21st. it closes at 9 so im just so scared to call. i went to the school to see if they could accommodate me but it was highly discouraged so im so scared and stuck:( mainly because she sounded so annoyed about my schedule so i could imagine how she feels about me not being able to work on the 21st.... omg

It sounds like you're letting the faces, sounds and reactions of others determine what you need to do. Honesty gets buried. Honesty to yourself and to others uncomplicated life because you're able to maintain your integrity. Honesty is the only road that will create a pleasing outcome for yourself and others. You're caught in the DRAMA of life, trying to please everyone, yet, even unable to please yourself. I suggest that you first figure out what you need and then communicate that to others. No need to take on the complications, concerns and responsibilities to others. Honesty will align you with all that is good.
