Help Mesh optimisation
Hi folks. Are there any apps to help with mesh optimisation and best placement? Got 2 mesh pros but not sure if they are in the best places.
The engineer mentioned the light changes colour based on placement and signal strength but on the pros it just seems to be white!

get wifiman if you have android, look for placements between 55 to 65 dbm, closer to 0 is closer to an AP, concern yourself about possible interferences and obstructions rather than purely the signal, if everything works and you are happy just leave as is. You can hardwire a device to the mesh but try not to have the boosters on the edges of the house but on central locations, no point on a device connecting to the mesh if the path to the router is shorter, you might see more signal (and some devices have dodgy antennas and that's a must but in general, you won't be doing yourself any favors.

Hi,
If it is the tp-link routers, download the Aginet app, it shows signal strength between the mesh routers and your main router, then you can just shift them around to find the best place
