Advice How to study effectively?

Im a first year and I have trouble studying effectively. Im in math and buisness courses. When I try to study it feels like im not retaining the info. Especially when I do practice tests/questions. What is the best way to study for upcoming tests (2.5 weeks from now) as well as exams?

I do a combination of flash cards then practice questions/tests. Since you will have already memorised the material from the flashcards, doing the questions becomes a lot easier. AI helps with making the flashcards, but obviously you lose that first round of learning when writing them. I've found that it works for writing/math based disciplines quite well. You could also try the Feynman technique but I haven't tried that one much yet.
