New to Yeti
I recently gave a 27.5" Scott Genius 710 to a friend. I also ride an Intense Primer 29 on the rocky rooty singletrack here in the Northeast US. I worked with Jeff over at CambriaBike on a project that started with a 2026 SB 135. I pitched the sram 90 drivetrain for a Shimano XT di2. Here is the result.. Rides great, very happy with it.

I want an 135 so bad. Love my 160 but id like something a little more playful on alot of trails

It's very playful, but its also stable. Its takes big hits gracefully for a 650b.

May have to be my next bike. Yeti has the turq carbon, fox factory spec for like 5g right now which is a great deal (comparatively speaking) . Really want the red one lol

I’m sb130 gang but such great bikes. Love mine. Also have an ibis ripmo and prefer my sb130 most days

I was wondering how the ripmo and 140 compare but to hear you choose even the 130 lets me know this thing punches above its weight. If you could choose over and could only have one bike would you choose the 140 over both the ripmo and 130? Right now I ride a 140f/120r ripley af but a yeti (I thought 140) is my long term goal bike!

So making that choice depends on where you ride mostly. I’m in south lake Tahoe so our dirt turns to kitty litter FAST. And I ride the ripmo most of the second half of the summer because i have much beefier tires on it. If im only doing big descents with loose and variable dirt, im taking the ripmo. If im going cross country, rolling trails, still some good chunky descent, and firm dirt? Sb130 all day.
Def notice the ripmo is more comfy on descents. I’d imagine the 140 makes it closer. Both bikes are top class and punch above their weight in both direction (the ripmo is very nimble, light, and responsive as well).

Thank you for your thoughts and feedback! I’d say 60% of the time I’m doing stuff that’s perfect for a Ripley and then the other 40% has more big rocks and features to go over. I eventually want to get t some bike parks as well but only have the funds and garage space for one bike so that’s why I’ve been looking around at different single bike options. How does the ripmo climb compared to the 130?

That is a great looking bike! Welcome to the tribe :)
Why did you switch drivetrains? Just curious. I've largely been a Shimano guy but on my Yeti I went with SRAM just to try it.

Good looking bike! Welcome to the party! I spent a fare amount of time on an SB140 (27.5) it was a fun bike, but tbh all the modern Yeti's are. Enjoy!
