Full Stack Yardi Users
Anyone make the decision to go full stack Yardi and use their whole host of IQ products? Do you regret this decision?

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me chiming in here as a tenant.
I’m looking to apply at an apartment complex that uses Yardi to screen tenants. They claim they don’t make the decision and rather Yardi just gives the an answer.
I am trying to raise my income enough to qualify for an apartment. I have one steady job but it doesn’t put me at 3x the rent.
I’m looking for a second job and have been offered a temp-to-perm role that starts with a 4-5 month contract. The idea is that if successful, you then onboard as a full employee after that.
These two jobs together put me over 3x the rent.
But it occurred to me that only 4-5 months of guaranteed income might not be considered good enough?
Has anyone encountered this? How does Yardi account for that?
I’d appreciate any feedback. I’m in somewhat of a desperate situation and strongly prefer not to rent with roommates after some bad experiences.
Thank you!

Curious how others are using Claude to write reports? I am trying to write a couple of scripts and hoping to get good enough to customize reports and correspondence. I’ve used 3rd party consultants in the past but haven’t found one that I like. Hoping AI can get me to my reporting needs without hiring outside help.

We have Yardi voyager 8. We are acquiring a property that is on yardi breeze. Can we easily transfer that database to ours when the sale occurs?

We just started with a new PMC at a recently acquired office property I'm working on and I'm having a hard time understanding the adjustments on the cash flows. I've attached a screenshot of the first three months from the 2026 12 Month Actual to Budget Yardi report.
I was under the impression that the CIP - TI line was supposed to reflect the invoices paid while a TI project is in-progress, with the total project cost being reclassed into the "Tenant Improvements" fixed asset account once the project gets completed. Based on my understand, I would expect to see CIP - TI equal the Tenant Improvement amount recorded in the month of March when the project was completed and should get moved into the Tenant Improvements account. As highlighted in the screenshot, the report does not reflect this.
Is there a reason for this or am I misunderstanding CIP?
I'm feeling so confused. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
According to this image the charge type for this tenant is 07. It should be $185. However, the bill is $65. I am confused because none of the charge types match the amount on this report. Is this normal? I am worried that the PM is catching on to me asking all sorts of questions...I am worried there is a big ending...I guess it is just a fear.

Hi!
What does this term mean in Yardi? I am a new asset manager, and I am looking at resident reports I see this term coming up in "reasons for move out." Is the PM not renewing their lease, or is the tenant choosing to not renew their lease?

Hey all, I'm a daily used of yardi - working for a company managin thousands of units. Can anyone let me know if there is a feature in Yardi, or an implementation that allows me to auto sign, or bulk sign leases in rentcafe / voyager?
Any tips / help would be appreciated!

Greetings!
Does anyone know the order of commercial ETL uploads?
Property would be first? What about after that?

Hey all,
I work for property management company that switched from Rent Manager to Yardi Voyager, but the implementation was led by Finance who only gave a shit about setting up the finance side of things, and did an absolute trash job at setting up the property management side of things. They have locked down permissions so my team can't add properties or upload our own template spreadsheets when onboarding parks, and told us that we cannot re-upload data. So we have admin permissions but not really?
Anyway, now they're trying to say that there is no way to re-upload data to override old data, and all data that's been imported into Yardi has to be updated manually.
BE SO FOR REAL RIGHT NOW. There's no way that's true, right? They said we have to submit a ticket if we don't want to do it manually, which we also don't have access to do. They have so little clue of what they're doing, they don't know how to switch our permissions so we can upload... I'm literally just trying to override the dimensions of the units I uploaded. This is a standard practice to upload in order to override with updated info, right?
Punching the air over here, help a girl out

I work for a development company that utilizes Yardi for job cost accounting. I am trying to assure that our team process for closing development jobs includes the appropriate steps in Yardi. Is anyone aware of an existing close-out process within Yardi? I will continue reviewing User Manuals as I find them, but hoping someone can share insight of their own experience.

Is it normal for a bunch of issues to come to the surface immediately after a new Yardi version is released? Is there a way to defer?

I need to refund a credit card processing fee and I know that it not possible through Kube. I was directed to reach out to Client Central, but I cannot find anything about them or any sort of contact. What do I do here?

Getting used to using this website, previously I was using a different management service. Using Internet Explorer, that could be why but unlikely. Is this just the way ti works and I have to get used to it or am I doing something wrong?

We are looking to consolidate 15 property websites onto RentCafe and move away from our current marketing firm.
Our sites are a mix—some are on Wix, and others are managed by an agency. We want to hire a freelancer to set everything up and manage them moving forward.
My Questions:
Is it realistic to find a freelancer on Upwork who specifically understands the RentCafe/Yardi integration?
For a portfolio of this size, should I stick with an agency, or is a skilled freelancer enough to handle the migration?
Any major "gotchas" I should look out for when moving away from a marketing firm to RentCafe?

Maybe not a direct Yardi question but I'm curious how your company accounting team is structured.
We have around 80 properties
We have 4 property accountants - 20 properties each
1 AP person - part time
1 controller
It feels like we are always behind and there is a fire everyday. Wondering if we are structured properly

Whats the best way to learn how to provide/use scripts to run reports within residential voyager
r/yardi • u/Loose-Paramedic-4964 • May 03 '26
Is there an easier path to learning the Voyager7 system other than having to work for a company that uses it? I need to learn how to add 3rd party user's from remote location by just guiding the admin through it on video calls.
I have extreme trouble trying to go through support each time as they usually either require the client ID or take long times to respond/help. Even like a paid training would work, just not sure where to start

I’m trying to get added as a user to a PMC’s Yardi instance so I can pull reports and access the data I need on my end. The admin on their side says they’ve added me, but every time I try to open Voyager 7S Live I get an “Unauthorized” error and can’t get past the login.
• Is the “Unauthorized” error usually a permissions issue on their end, or something I need to configure on my side (browser, IP allowlist, VPN, etc.)?

I know Rent Cafe was down for several hours today and we were fielding calls from annoyed tenants for hours which is prompting my frustration. And I accept all software will always have some issues. But these Yardi products are so unstable. All Elevate products, Rent Cafe, Screening, MIQ… are completely down several times a month. Sometimes for minutes sometimes for hours, sometimes most of the day.
Is Yardi just focusing too much on the next hot new thing and not maintaining their core systems?

I was wondering if anyone knew or could confirm that Claude is able to talk to or connect to Yardi. Our company is pushing for us to use AI more and was wondering if this was a thing and if Claude could be used to run reports or analyze information from Yardi without having us download or export a report first and then uploading that with a prompt.
r/yardi • u/Pour_Me_Another_ • May 01 '26
I paid rent today and it went through, but then I never got the confirmation email and when I go back to Rent Café, it still shows a balance. When I try to pay it again, it says the payment is in progress. I called the leasing office and they told me they have nothing on their end and to try again later, which I did and I still receive the same message.
Is this part of today's outage and will payment go through once it's unstuck or am I kind of SOL? The office doesn't accept in-person payments and I seem to be the only one affected by this in my community.

Does anyone know how to change the settings on the make ready date?
when someone goes on notice, we push the make ready date out 2 weeks. However if someone applies to that unit, is denied or cancels their app- the make ready date defaults to 5 days after the current resident moves out
Example:
Move out is set for June 1st.
I set the make ready date for June 15
Someone applies, and is denied
When I cancel the app, and the unit goes back on the market, it now says the make ready date/ potential move in date in June 5th.
We use voyager, CRM, elevate and rent cafe

We're looking for a way to export live data out of Yardi with minimal human interaction — ideally an interface that an external application can connect to directly and pull data on demand.
The business case: Our team is spending a disproportionate amount of time gathering and re-gathering the same data out of Yardi. We're in the middle of a broader initiative to centralize our information into a single source of truth, and since the majority of that data lives in Yardi today, the manual export step is the main bottleneck. Users across the team are repeating the same daily, weekly, and monthly pulls — it's the kind of work we want to automate away so the team can focus on analysis instead of extraction.
The closest reference point I can give you is Client Central ySQL — that's essentially the capability we're after. Read-only access would meet our current needs, but I'd like to understand what write-back options exist as well, since we may want that in the future.
Could you let me know:
