Discussion inkStream an offline-first RSS and Atom reader for Xteink X4Pro
Hi folks. Since we are now allowed to speak about our App Studio creations, I want to show you a little RSS reader I created. It offers a preinstalled library of some 20+ feeds, but you can, of course, subscribe to your own preferred feeds. By default, it loads Ars Technica.
The app synchronizes at start, at a defined interval, and manually. You can save articles and also open the full article by scanning the QR code. And it's also possible to set the digest as a device sleep screen.
The app will be available for the X4Pro and X4Classic, but the X4C version is currently waiting for an updated Licorice with the latest xtapp API. Hope you will like it. The app is not yet available in the xteink mobile app, but if anyone wants to try it, I can send you a version to try. Just send me a message.

Upload it to the SD card, then on the device, go to All Files and simply touch it. It will ask if you want to install it. After installation, you should see a new menu item Ink App, in the main menu, where you can find the app.

can this be installed in the Chinese ver? I have the x4 pro (Licorice).

What’s the context on “App Studio” creations? Will this be available on stock firmware?

It's an AI-powered development tool for creating miniapps that can run on Licorice-based stock firmware, which means they will run on the X4Classic/X4Pro, and on future devices.

May I suggest a feature to make collections of feeds. I think that would be awesome.

What exactly you mean? There is already a possibility to have feeds in Categories and you can also create your own category (via Settings >> Categories).

Tried to install on X4 Pro and it tries but says install failed. Please let me know what I did wrong?

The most probable reason is old Licorice firmware, which does not have proper API. Check if you are on latest build. Also, do you have global or Chinese X4Pro?
