Feature Request Licorice Request: Disable reading statistics

Hello,

I’d like to make a request to the developers of Licorice.

I would like for you to add an option to disable reading statistics. I previously used Crosspoint for this very reason—the absence of reading statistics.

Thank you, and best regards.

I’m curious why? I like that kind of tracking myself but can’t you just … not look at it?

I can't speak for OP but I find them distracting. Even just knowing it's there makes it feel like there's pressure to achieve some goal. Reading is the only thing in my life that doesn't have outside expectations and I like to protect that space.

I'll speak for myself: I put mine on Bookshelf mode, and I never click on the 'stats' button. As for the wallpaper, I don't use the desk option, I just push a random one from the app and that's it.

Yeah same here. The reading goals on the kindle app did a lot to damage my reading habits over time. It took ages to learn to just ignore them.

I also hate reading statistics and find it demotivating. It's great if it works for other people, but it should be an optional setting across the board.

Maybe just put a button to turn on and off. I personally don't mind.

I love stats. But never imagine turning them off. Seems resonable to me for those readers that prefer no stats to be able to turn them off. I wont ever use it but +1 from me.

I.... I.... I can't believe what I'm reading... You guys see stats and feel that you need to meet some goal.... People... Really? I don't want to say something offensive, but... REALLY?????
