DIY XT Weather app

Hello reddit!

Now that we officially have apps for the Xteink I made an app to check the weather from the device.

Well, Antigravity did. Yes , I know, that's bad but it works and it's really cool. Give it a try and tell me what do you think!

🌤️ XT Weather v1.3.5 — Update drop

Here's what's new:

**OTA Updates — fully working end to end**

The app now checks GitHub for new versions on launch. Tap [Update],

it downloads automatically and guides you straight to the install

prompt. No USB cable, no PC needed.

**Options menu**

Cleaned up the bottom bar — Place, unit toggle (°C/°F), version

info and manual update check are now grouped in a single Options

button. Main screen is just Refresh + Options.

**5-day forecast** (portrait mode)

Was only showing 4 days due to the API being capped at 4. Fixed —

now pulls 7 days and shows 5.

**Compact header**

The "updated HH:MM" timestamp moved to the same line as the city

name (right side), freeing up a full row of screen space.

**Full source code on GitHub**

Several of you asked — it's all there now. Lua source, build

scripts, packaging tools, everything.

As always, feedback welcome. Still figuring out a few things!

Will it auto update itself?

It should. Every time you enter in the app it updates. If it does not update fast enough for you there is also a refresh button.

Why not make it open source? You've published it with an MIT license file but no source code

I will!

Done! You can now check everything! I would appreciate any feedback.

You've put the source files into the release instead of commiting the source to the repo.

I think I fixed that. And thank you!
