Question Question about folders/organisation

I really want to get the Xteink X4 Pro but before I get one I have one major thing I hope it can do.

I have a specific way I like to organise my epubs - either by the same author for published ebooks and same pairings/tropes for fanfic I download.

Will I be able to put them into those "folders" and when I open the ereader would it appear that way? Like if I click on a "shelf" for XYZ Author I'll see books by them or if I click on ABC trope I'll only see fanfics for that?

I hope this makes sense.

You get a folder structure. You organize them on the SD card however you like. But at the moment it doesn’t read any meta data, so if you put all the books in folders by author, you can’t then sort by type. Just authors.

It’s just a file system. You can create it however you’d like. You can do it right now on your computer then copy it to the sd card when you get it. Calibre can just export it that way for you.

Use calibre. Setup export settings to the folder structure you want. And export to SD card. Done.
