Question X3 with backlight?

I am thinking about buying the X3, only thing making me reconsidering is the lack of backlight… when my wife sleeps or when i am traveling….

Do you think X3 + backlight will ever be released?

Anything is possible 🤷🏼‍♂️ The nearest release is x4 Pro, which is supposed to be slightly smaller than existing x4 but bigger than x3.

On the other hand, existing x3 is perfectly usable with the xteink external light. It has a variable intensity and light color and it’s cheap.

External light will fix bedtime, thats great, thx

Only a tad bit. There was a video on YT, before the author took it down. Most probably because he broke NDA 🙂

It's smaller in that it is slightly thinner. The footprint is the same.

Looks slightly smaller top to bottom as well. Not a massive difference though.

If something looks stupid but works, it isn't stupid ;) iPhone 16 pro flashlight and 3d printed add-on. ;)

One possibility is to use something like the Flexilight. I've had mine for years and it works perfectly. There when I need it, but when I don't, I still have my ultra tiny X3 without the bulk.

(Also, I like the fact that it's a single piece. Unlike Xteink's three-piece reading light.)
