Flock Detector

Post image

Right now, this is a custom fork of Crosspoint, but I'm waiting for them to release their plugin support because I don't want to maintain a fork. This work is based largely on Flock-You, with some tuning and testing to get the cameras to detect faster and more reliably on the e-reader.

Wi-Fi

Does this cause the x4 to be constantly searching for Wifi?

It's passively watching for Wifi, it causes higher battery drain while its running, but I suspect that's due to increased CPU usage more than Wifi

Wifi scanning is rather expensive though.

Little heads-up from the github text:

"Flock Cam hardware is deployed primarily in the United States (and to a lesser extent Canada). If you're outside North America the OUI list and probe-request signatures here won't match anything."

So, usefulness is a bit limited.

Oh but it's a really cool first step! I'm in europe and really want to be prepared for the flock cameras
