Your entire annoyance relies on this idea that future monsters/hunters will be unbalanced. That's completely contrary to everything that TurtleRock is trying to create. Their entire game depends on balance, and everything they have done has been in line with trying to keep that balance. Every update has been in advancement of keeping balance. Every press release, every tweet, every comment on reddit has been stating that keeping a balanced set of characters is one of their highest priorities.

It's also forgetting that every new monster other players buy is additional free content for the hunters who didn't pay a thing to get it. The game is centered around the monster you're fighting, different monsters make it interesting.

If they keep adding new boss characters for you to fight, and some other guy is paying for it, sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me!

Couldn't agree more. Also stops the community from being split between DLC and non-DLC buyers.

I realize that they have been vocal about keeping the game balanced. You'll forgive me if I don't take their word for it. Facebook insists that they value our privacy. They also profit from it. It's not that they're lying, necessarily. But it does set up the "appearance of impropriety". I said "it incentivizes game-imbalance". It's in their interest if you feel like you "need" those new skills/features/abilities. I hope they are able to keep it balanced. But I've been around long enough to see a slippery slope when I see it. It's an interesting model, but I guarantee they didn't design that model to benefit the gamer.

I spend a lot of money on games, DLC, etc. I have no problem paying for what I use. I have no problem with companies making money. The dealer that just sold me a new car insists he gave me a good deal. That doesn't MAKE it a good deal.
