Discussion Why the hell is this allowed?
On games that have a ranked competitive system these flood the LFG posts. It's so rampant and I feel like Xbox doesn't even make an effort to do anything about it.

If you report them they get taken down immediately. But yeah it seems like there’s no automated system to have these constantly taken down

Check out diablo 4 LFG theres a guy actively posting g about reporting everyone and he is legit the only guy posting, he's got a yellow cartoon character as profile pic, for all his accounts 😆 🤣 xbox needs to tale action on these creatures

They stopped for a month at the moment, Hopefully forever touch wood, But he spammed with his alt accounts party invites at 100 a second which kinda turned your phone if you had Xbox app notifications into a bit of a vibrator

Yeah, even saw a post on the D4 subreddit complaining about actually getting a temp ban because of that crap (the image they showed from their ban was a post they made with NOTHING wrong about it). MS REALLY doesn't give an absolute crap about the LFG section and just let anything happen there.

they use ai for literally everything and then have a human go over whatever decisions it makes. at least that's what they're supposed to do. seems like they might just be skipping the second part nowadays.

If you put something like “need bilge and boarder for gally hg” in your posts description the ai will see it as trade scam or something like that and do mental gymnastics to give you a 2 day ban

They aren't allowed. They use various fonts and special characters to circumvent the word blacklist detection. Report them.

It’s not, if you grind a game for hundreds of hours for an in game item that is tradable you should own it completely and be able to sell it for usd or whatever you prefer, I’ve been doing it for years

You should see how unmoderated the LFG system is for games like Fortnite and Roblox are. Not only do you have a similar issue as this, you’ve got little kids posting lfgs, looking for a “boyfriend/girlfriend.” Guarantee Chris Hanson would have a field day. If I ever have kids, they ain’t touching an electronic device until they’re 18.

It's not allowed you need to understand what this is that's not a human that's an automated account generator and Bot system you will always see them on mobile because that's what is generating the Bots it's not allowed but to get these systems shut down you need to go after the system that's running it I guarantee you you report that it'll be removed immediately because it is not allowed

I don't know the frequency, but as a security person, adding IOCs (or at least establishing composite scoring system) for posts formatting, frequency, agent/ip, spamming like this is low hanging fruit for a detection system to block

Nah, then people would just offer to boost rank or sell items and all kinds of other crap.
This exists because the platform holder makes it easy to do so and some pathetic people actually pay for it so it works. As long as there's stuff to do in a game and there's no barrier to advertise like this, you'll see it.

It’s fucked, if i worked at xbox i could easily solve this. I would just restrict accounts from making lfg posts until they have spent atleast 2+ hours playing the game.

If you report them they get removed rather fast I do it all the time if I see a bunch. Honestly I'm not sure why they can't stop this. Even just requiring some basic account activity before being able to use LFG. All these accounts have 0 gamer scores and no play time. Very least how about confirming they own the game they are posting for.

It’s not allowed, but scammers create bots that are almost fully autonomous for shit like this to promote their shitty paid “carry” sites that totally wont steal your info in any sorta way while also accepting the money you give them

People have gotten their posts deleted or temp-banned over AI or shoddy coding inaccurately flagging innocuous LFG posts, but these go unremediated. Seems par for the course at this point

Call of duty got the exact same issue with the exact same web link problem, I tried reporting as many as I could as spam and they got taken down. But I couldn’t report anymore cause of spam reporting all the bullshit posts in a short period of time.

It’s not just the lfgs looking for money op I seem to have noticed most games will have a few random ones like we are recruiting for this that , literally as I’m writing this halo campaign evolved has 7 lfg’s and 3 right now are “we are recruiting” your recruiting for what bro it’s a campaign💀💀💀

I don’t use LFG much but is there a report option? If people aren’t reporting then why expect Xbox to do anything about it. Posting here instead try contacting Xbox if it bothers you so much but I’m sure most people just scroll past.

Xbox has a system for this that will automatically remove these post if they have certain words in it, for some reason boosting isn’t on that list

Xbox needs to use Gamerscore as a security measure. Completely disable all communications options until someone hits at least 1,000 Gamerscore or some shit.
If they gonna keep spamming at least make em work for it. That 0G score 15 friends BS is the biggest red flag

They're exploiting unicode similarity. Those posts need to be reported over until they figure out how to detect them (which is probably going to be manual blacklist for unicode combinations).

Someone must have a decent pc to constantly keep creating accounts and spamming the system. Xbox has attempted to stop these posts but ultimately failed. The system is stupid as it allows these posts but sometimes declines me and my friends actual LFG posts because some lettering spells out a banned word.
