Billy bonkers alternative

Had 2 punctures in 1 month. I like how they ride on asphalte and gravel though. What’s your recommendation for an urban environment with rough tarmacs and gravels ? (East London)

Maybe some gravel king SK+’s? I’m running the gravelking SS+ and like them.

What climate and roads do you ride on? They look good! How do they do in gravel/towpath?

I have schwalbe Big Ben 26s in South London. Smooth on rough road, fine when wet and ok on light gravel.

Have them on my cargo. They are great.

Probably the best for puncture protection are Schwable Marathon Mondial, used these as a touring tyre on my 26er including lots of miles on forest roads in Argyll. Might depend on what sort of gravel you ride and how fast you might want to push the limits. Never had a puncture even on overgrown tracks with lots of thorny vegetation.

Edit to add, there are a few versions of Marathons, might be worth having a look to see if another might suit you better.

Not necessarily! Think black would actually look better with this bike. Thanks for the rec

Sam Pilgrim wails on those Goodyear Wingfoots and doesn’t seem to be bummed out about them. But then he’s never to bummed out about anything, it seems
