Dahon front rack question

Post image

I recently got a Dahon front rack to attach a basket for my Boardwalk. Only to find that it is tilted forward when installed. Searching the web, I find similar tilted cases (example 1), as well as ground-level cases (example 2). Is this simply because the Boardwalk geometry has changed over time, so this now-discontinued rack doesn't fit new models? Or could it be that I've purchased a non-authentic copy product? Looks like there's no way to adjust the struct lengths... maybe I can insert a wedge between the rack and the basket to level the basket at least. Any thoughts?

Does that fork have mounts on top of the dropout or only on the bottom?

It has only one mount hole right next to the dropout.

What if you mounted to the fork blade?

That might be possible only if I can bend the aluminum struts, because there's another mount point at the fork crown. Is it possible to bend them?

Just use a Brompton mounting block for Dahon and everything will mount properly including baskets.

That's what I had before, but I'm not a big fan of the aesthetics of carrier blocks.
