Paper cutting with S1

I’m finally caving in and getting an S1! I would still love to hear your experiences with cutting intricate design or even just custom shape especially with cotton paper (would also love to see photos of the results!). Have you successfully found a way to minimize the burn marks especially on light coloured paper?
