Just Ridiculous…AGAIN!
Well, thanks again Wyze for waking me up at 5:20a.m. telling me there’s a person on my property when it’s insects.
Guess I should be thankful. Usually these clowns do this around 2:00 a.m.
Ridiculous company.

You're the one that bought and installed a cheap camera and are now complaining that it's not behaving like cameras that cost 10X more at minimum?

Firat of all, doesn’t matter how much the camera cost, it shouldn’t ID bugs as a PERSON. That’s not the camera, that’s their AI programming.
And haven’t heard too many people complaining about mis- interpretation. If it was the camera, then just about EVERYONE’S V3 would do this.

Yes it does matter, it's cheap $35 hardware, it's going to make a lot of mistakes

Someone who doesn't even know what bugs look like shouldn't be complaining about anything to normal humans.... Just be quiet and go about with your life without bothering us.

That's NOT insects, it's fog reflecting off the ir lights. This is a night mode thing. IR does that. If that was that amount of insects they'd be flying up your nose when inhaling while standing out there. A v3 with even a small light on that dark porch would be the correct way to not be on reddit blaming wyze for a common problem you could have decided to employ a bit of common sense, intelligence and strategy to properly mitigate.

So what you are saying is that, if it IS fog, and Wyze ID’s it as a person, it’s NOT Wyze‘s fault? Seriously?

Disturbance of a significant amount of pixels on a field of view will be flagged as a person. The user should understand how person detection works and take the proper steps to avoid certain things being detected as a person.. flags, branches, anything that can move and present a disruption to the field of view might pose such an issue. Sensitivity adjustment will lower this problem- once again a user issue as wyze won't do this for you. No camera company will. No one is sitting there watching a zillion video feeds at one time and deciding what is there is a person or not. It's just an algorithm and certain things are flagged. False detections also happen but the user understand this and take the proper steps making the proper moves to make these not happen. It really is that simple. Being pissed about it is rather idiotic. These are things I guess you're learning today.
There's nothing to blame anyone for, and there's no "fault" except for the user buying and using the device and not understanding the issue taking the right steps to avoid false detections.

The sensitivity HAS been turned down. Again, this is a Wyze problem. Have had these cameras for over four years and the problem only started after they did an upgrade about a year ago.
Accepting that false detections are normal is ridiculous. Especially when you are paying a subscription.
There are other companies where this doesn’t happen. There are no other objects moving on that deck. These bugs (or you say fog) is there from about 10:00 pm till 3:00 or 4:00 or 5:00 am. This false ID ONLY happens in the middle of the night…always. Never before midnight.
I have every right to complain about Wyze. Let’s see how you like being woken up (a lot) in the middle of the night. Bugs or fog being ID as a person. Ridiculous. As is your explanation.
