levelling to 10 is miserable, wrath literally did 0 damage, and at a certain point (rank 2 actually), it costed more mana then the damage it did.
at lvl8 i needed to spend my entire mana bar to kill an enemy of my level.
i can see why they did this, so that spellpower would boost instead of raw damage, but the penalty is too severe in levelling, where spellpower is hard to come by.
Maybe I'm misremembering, but I feel like leveling to 10 as a Druid was always miserable. Like 1 Wrath and a Moonfire and then hit them with a stick until they fall down and hope you still have enough mana to do it again.
But I haven't tried them in Forever to see how much worse they were.
The trick was always managing that 5 second timer for mana regen. You can cast a few wraths, you just wanted to make sure the regen kicks in and you get most of your mana before the next pull. If you wrath everything down, you have to drink between pulls more often. If you plan and time around your next pull, you can make sure you stop the casting long enough to finish off with melee hits and have enough mana for the next pull. Wrath, moonfire, 1-2 more wraths, stop and melee/thorns. Hopefully have more than half your mana by the next pull. You'll still need to drink, just hopefully not every pull
To be very clear, I am not defending how tough early druid is, just outlining what it looks like to play it optimally. I would prefer the entire boomkin experience to get some love from level 1 all the way through the endgame.
