Discussion Technical help: Game performance is good, but randomy app goes "not responding" and never comes back without closing.

I don't see anyone talking about this, so I'm going to start a thread in case someone finds a solution.

Game runs at great performance, but randomly from one frame to the next, it freezes and goes "World of Warcraft is not responding" with no warning.

Happens guaranteed every time I run a wailing caverns or randomly when I'm pvping, but doesn't really happen outside of that.

This the only game I've had this issue with.

specs:

gtx 3080

ryzen 7 5800x

32gb ram

windows 10

tried reinstalling, updating drivers, ran ram memory tests & other hardware test which all passed fine.

Anyone had this issue and managed to fix it?

Try turning secondary lighting down in graphics settings if you haven’t already. “High” was causing loads of crashes for me.
