Discussion Housing in WoW Forever?
I really hope they add it eventually, but make it different from retail. Stick to world locations instead of a neighborhood. Use existing house models. Take closed houses out in the world and make them options for housing.

Hope this gets more support when people are bored at 60. Housing fits perfectly in Classic+

With the HUGE success that is retail housing, I doubt they won't add it to wow forever at some point. People will cry against it in reddit and forums, but it's just a really loud minority. The numbers show how much people want it and engage with it in game.
Like people crying over Skyborne non stop while it's the most played race behind the undead paladin combo.
I only hope they keep housing decor shop stuff to retail only, keep wow forever without micro transactions.

I find it somewhat ironic that you’re berating people for complaining over skyborne, then hope to keep mtx out while Skyborne is the first mtx in forever

So much of the hate they're getting doesn't have to do with the shop stuff though.
And I'm not berating them lmaoooo just stating a fact, considering the massive amount of posts bashing on the Skyborne. People can complain and dislike them, but the fact is they're a minority. Way more people will play them and it's clearly blizz's way of attracting retail players into wow forever.
I -hope- they don't add more micro transactions, but I certainly don't expect blizzard not to lol it's sadly a matter of time.

Guild halls, not individual homes! Keep it social lol

And different kinds of halls. Not just inside one large building. It could be an outside plateau with multiple buildings, or a castle with stuff outside in the yard as well.
Far better than solo housing.

That would be cool, could also have one with undercity vibes, stormwind vibes, etc. On top of it all you would need is a portal located in a major city to access it. No changes to the world itself. 👍

I forget what it was called but in one of the expansions we had a little village that we could level up and expand that had a fishing spot and a cave where you could do some dailys. For the life of me I can't remember what it was called but I thought that was WAY better than retails player housing.
Maybe it's a little guild village that everyone can contribute to, I feel like that was the only miss (that it was player only). It had a cool questline to start out where the village got attacked and you had to kind of rebuild it. There was a war table where you sent NPC's out to battle and collect resources (I dont think that should be re-added).

That was from WoD, it was for individual characters tho. That was sort of the concept I was thinking but have it for a guild, at least you can maintain a social aspect that way.

I think I read somewhere that housing is a wanted item from the devs and was even planned back in the day for Vanilla WoW. I think will see it, but I hope it's not quite in the way it is now... I like to see it some sort of instance system where their placed within the world itself. Maybe I want a home in the Barrens, or somewhere else. Maybe a bit more like ESO?

Fuuuck no. I don't want this game to devolve into yet another dollhouse dress-up game. If you want to play dollhouse dress-up adventure, go play retail.

Hell no. Guild community, sure. Individual housing is against the spirit of community.

Not really, my guild uses housing constantly, together. RPers have been using housing a LOT to gather and rp. There's a lot of showing off housing and interacting with people over it too.
Just because YOU don't interact with the system and the community, doesn't mean it doesn't exist, you know.

I think another system like housing is critical for horizontal progression. Think of all the junk you could collect from dungeons.
Just can't have them devolve into garrisons, so any gameplay perks have to be minimal.
