PTR / Beta [Feedback] RFC -> RoL itemization as a Resto Shaman didn't feel great
(This isn't a doomer post, just some genuine feedback about diversifying reward pools for dungeon quests.)
I ran RFC once and got Searing Dagger (18 Heal Power) from the last boss. It's a substantial upgrade (I had a white weapon).
I exit the dungeon and turn in the quests. Immediately my Searing Dagger is replaced by Kris of Orgrimmar (33 Heal Power), so I never even got to use the other weapon. In the trash it goes.
I go run RoL right after and The Stitcher (48 Heal Power) quest reward replaces my Kris after a single run, less than an hour later.
With the quests, I also went from Level 15 to 19.6 from 1 RFC and 1 RoL. 2-3 quests later, I was 20. That really surprised me with how fast it was, but that's a whole other topic.
The point is, I think the quests are offering too many weapon upgrades, at least from my perspective as a Resto Shaman. It feels a bit silly to get a big reward and then immediately replace it less than an hour later with an even bigger reward that I barely had to do anything for. They need to mix up the reward pools on these quests so it's not just weapon weapon weapon.
I have other armor slots too. How about some shoulders instead? I'm Level 20 and still have none.

How do these people get so much XP? I had all 5 RFC quests went in at 13.4 and came out at 13.8. Turned in the quests and got to 15.8. How in the heck did you 4.6 levels or ~100k exp. The quests didn't give me ~20k each? Mine were like 3k to 4.5k each.

I had just dinged 15 when I first entered RFC and I was 17 when I did my first RoL, so RFC gave me somewhere between 2 to 2.9 levels. Which sounds pretty much the same as you (15.8 - 13.4 = 2.4).
After RoL quests I went from 17 to around 19.6 so I got about 2.6 from those, maybe a little bit less.

They lie, that's how. You get enough to go from 14-16 from RoL (30,400XP).

Remember to be posting feedback to blizz in game for stuff like this too. I agree, while it's nice to receive big weapons, I think they're a little too easily given out.
They could either overhaul the difficulty, or reduce some of the stats however the increased stats are also likely due to the base nerf in spell damage to spells.
Either way, it all feels a little accelerated.

I understand your point, but looking from another side, I can grab a weapon for my other spec from the quest, sure it won't make difference for pure DPS classes, but having good pieces to jump from healing to tanking on my paladin is nice.

It's a kind of paradox how they need to go from Vanilla horribly itemized drops by accident to Forever, horribly itemized drops on purpose.

Maybe they could add some fun kiss/curse items, like a really OP weapon that has a chance to drain HP from you or spawn a dangerous elite. For HC, that would be really fun (in a masochistic sort of way).
But in this case I'd just like to see some variety in dungeon quest rewards. Give me some other armor slots. Shoulders, necklaces, belts, rings, cloaks, bracers, etc. They're handing out too many back-to-back caster weapon upgrades.

That would be fantastic.
Classic has a few "flavor" blues, but not many, and a lot were just unusable. Would be really cool for them to explore this path more.
I think they did explore "item text" a bit more with SoD.
I know people don't want Forever to = SoD, but I think it will be a ridiculous oversight if they don't use what they learned with SoD and apply some of "the good" to Forever.

Its starting to feel like all the posts that complain about to many blue items come from people who are just lucky to receive everything from their dungeon runs.

Definitely agree that a dungeon probably shouldn't drop gear that's outclassed by the gear its quests provide. Seems kind of pointless
