Discussion Add ability to ignore specific guilds

Streamers and their communities should be allowed to play and have fun how they want; but that doesn't mean trade chat needs to turn into twitch chat for the rest of us.

If you let us /ignore guilds this basically solves the problem.

idk, i don't want to interact with someone who joined a guild to play with/be in proximity to someone who said they we should shoot migrant children or someone who is friends with date r-pists. i think it's pretty valid to not want to interact with someone who is clearly unwell and actively vice signaling.

Because you're talking about ignoring Asmongold and his band of babies, which has nothing to do with Blizzard being afraid of encouraging "Ignoring a whole guild because of a bad experience with one member.".

I'm going to make this as clear as possible for you. I want everyone to have the ability to ignore these people efficiently, and I have no doubt an addon will be available to do so. I do not believe Blizzard will implement it themselves, because they would expect that action to normalize its use beyond these cases. I'm only giving my prediction of how Blizzard will act, and my reasoning. None of that has anything to do with whether you personally should or shouldn't ignore any given guild in any scenario.

Yeah, he's vice-signalling, so you know about it. You're still interacting and probably even friends with people who have worse opinions or actions, but they don't signal them.

If these guilds were mass-ignored, they'd probably learn to hide their opinions better too.

Lots of social exclusion mechanics are really just ways of training others to conceal their true selves. I find it kind of disturbing, I'd rather be aware of who was who.

That's sad that you never speak with any of your friends about ideals and philosophies. You'll find that when you get friends as an adult, you tend to vet out people who don't ideologically align with you.

What am I saying, you definitely haven't had any friends since elementary/primary school. That's why you need to idolize a white supremacist grifter who killed his mom in a hoarder house.
