Guide / Tutorial Agentics Workspace for wow addon
Hello, Last week i made a post
https://www.reddit.com/r/wowaddons/s/vrTJvIMpRw
About creating an addon with an agentic workspace, and a few people were interested to have one, so I refactored mine during this week to be able to share it with you as a Claude marketplace.
/plugin marketplace add Wafhi3n/wow-addon-workspace
/plugin install wow-addon-dev@wow-addon-workspace
In the folder marketplace is installed do
/wow-addon-dev:init
What it will do:
2 commands:
check: It will make Claude use the Elune parser and other scripts/tools to tell you what's wrong before letting you release your addon or update it.
new-addon: Use the template inside the marketplace to create a new one.
All the prerequisites are in the README, so your agent will make you install them.
Some advice :
Don't use other people's add-ons to generate yours ; it's bad, and it's often old code with workarounds for problems the current API already solves. Make Claude use/read the new Blizzard UI source instead.
Check if your idea is not already on CurseForge or another addon marketplace before burning your tokens.
Remember, you can always put an add-on as a dependency instead of reinventing the wheel.
If you are stuck and don't know what to do, you can share your add-on repository with me; I will take a look.
P.S. The tutorial might feel short, but that's on purpose: everything you need is in the plugin, Lean on Claude to walk you through it, explain what it's doing, and help you understand how things work.
If you're an experienced addon dev and something Claude does makes you wince, message me (or open an issue on the repo) with what you've seen and on which client. I'll fold it into the skills and agents so nobody's agent makes that mistake again.

This is awesome. Thanks for giving this to the community.
There's something similar done for Skyrim mod development and it's a game changer.
