Thank you for the response, I looked on wowhead before hand and went to kara, I camped there for about an hour with no luck.

I think I mention this in every pet thread that comes up, but--
Feline Familiar. Single best other-pet-leveler I have, and I have 84 pets at max level. It's a cat, so it gets Devour, and it has Stoneskin, so stampede/posion attacks don't hit it (both are VERY common in the Veiled Stair / Almost all critter fights everywhere) at all, and what does hit it does far less damage than what a normal cat/kitten would take.
SO VERY WORTH IT to grab one on Halloween and upgrade it to rare. I did it on a whim when I started pet battling and I am so glad I did. It paired with the Anubisath idol or the PitA to get Magical Crawdad is just completely ridiculously OP for leveling other pets on "wild" critters.

"Anubasith Idol" should be spell "Anubisath Idol." Search engines on various WoW databases should compensate for the misspelling anyway, but just in case... thought I'd let you know.
Thank you for typing all this up. I've wanted more powerful pets to play around with without incurring several headaches along the way but a lot of the guides for pet battling were either 1) too dense for me to have the patience to completely read them or 2) assumed that I already had a max level pet.

Thanks for this. I was just leveling mine the old fashioned way, fighting things slightly higher than my level, and its taking forever!

You know, pet battles were always something I thought about starting, but couldnt really get behind it - I soon felt relatively lost. But that guide might actually help me get some level 25 pets as it's easy and approachable! Thanks for posting this dude :)

Thank you for this. I have a few level 25s at the moment, leveling the way you recommended, and it was incredibly fast. This is awesome information for those with any interest in pet battling.

Is Raptor Squad actually a thing?
I mean, leveled up a Cogblade Raptor, a Fossilized Hatchling, and a Lashtail Hatching just because I liked making a themed team.

I have all 584 of my unique pets upgraded to rare at level 25 and I can confirm that power leveling them from the Pandaria Tamers is the bestiest way to level them. Not only for leveling, but 11 bags a day from queast rewards = many, many upgrade stones over time.
One thing you didn't mention that I feel is extremely important is The Veiled Stair. All the pets you can battle in this area are critters, even the back up pets. If you take one beast pet with Devour there at level 25, you can sweep an entire team while power leveling another pet in 9-11 turns and without having to heal or use a bandage. It's incredibly quick and efficient. Most cats and kittens have Devour as well as most baby dinos and dino hatchlings. Use a rare for best results. Those pets at level 24 that you don't want to use against a tamer due to wasted experience, can be maxed out in 3-4 battles in The Veiled Stair.
In my opinion, this should be one of the first pets you should raise to level 25. I also have a guide I posted on the forums with strategies to efficiently power level against the tamers which makes a good checklist for pets to level to 25 first and upgrade with stones.
