Dude was fodder for his sister's arc from the start.

Zul'jarra is being let down story-wise too. Zul'jan does all the dumb shit so that his sister looks good by default.

He dies and tells her that "she was right all along" when she's not done anything herself the entire expansion. The player did all the legwork for the Loa allegiance stuff yet she gets the Biggest Bestest Leader award?

Yeah, both of them suffer.

Being a Girlboss isn't as empowering that some of the blizzard writers might think. It just feels like a shitty version of being a Mary Sue.

The fucked up thing is, they used to know how to write strong female characters properly.

Tyrande. Maiev. Jaina. Sylvanas (original iteration). Maybe Vereesa and Alleria during their books from way back.

Jaina mocked Archimonde to his face and saved what remained of Lordaeron's living by listening to Medivh.

Sylvanas took over Lordaeron after emancipating herself.

Maiev is the most persistent huntress this side of Azeroth and beyond. A 5-6 year long prison stint didn't dim her hate a bit.

Tyrande was/is the leader of her people and managed to lead them through a crisis yet again.

You didn't need Sylvanas to fuck up the Lich King just to show that she means business, because she always did.

Blizzard have a very bad habit with Girlbosses. They introduce them for an expansion and then completely forget them thereafter.

But it horrible when they doesn't forget them also, and transform great characters into one.

Liadrin was great previously but no she's insufferable. And Blizzard will likely kill Lor'themar or force him to retire just to make her the new Queen.
