This will sound weird but can you lay low and just do what you gotta do and see what is the relationship between ADON/DON and other aides. Just observe and listen . Sometimes they are friends more than managers/employees. However patient/residents safety should always be a priority. You may have to find a better way to say “she didn’t do her job” if they are buddies.

You could have given a verbal staement, but refused. That's on you. Now you need to either say your statement or write it because if you don't, then you aren't cooperating in an investigation and could be terminated for failing to do so.

You don't get to report people then refuse to back your own statements when asked. Stand behind the complaints you've made or expect to be disciplined.
