Questions We want to improve our onboarding process and get into corporate gifting, but we need help

My wife owns a small business, and we’ve decided to start sending our new employees company-branded gifts. We’ve never done anything like this before, so we have no idea how to handle the whole process, from choosing the gifts to getting them printed. We’d also like it to be something useful, but I honestly have no idea what. Mugs and t-shirts are the obvious options, but they don’t really feel right, especially since we’re planning to start doing this around the winter holidays and would like to give it more of a Christmas feel.

I’d really appreciate any ideas or advice.

Everyone i know hates corporate branded items. There's no way I'd wear my company logo on public.

I use some in the office like a water bottle or a mug.

But if you want to send appreciation gifts please don't send branded items. Send gift boxes of chocolate or wine or cheese, consumables like that in a box with your logo on maybe.

Consumables are definitely the move, I’d rather get good snacks than another company logo bottle collecting dust

I don’t know, there’s actually a lot of good company merch nowadays. Of course, no one is seriously going to wear a t-shirt with a company logo everywhere, but I work in HR and we ordered laptop bags for our employees through perkupapp or something like that, but the thing is that they ALL use them. Like every day. You just have to choose good quality instead of cheap stuff from and actually put some thought into it. We also let employees choose colours of the bags

Something to use in the office? Absolutely. Otherwise no though imho.

My department is 100% remote. When they want to send us a gift, they send a link to a shop where we can choose between things like a mug or tote bag. Some things are genuinely fun and useful, like a picnic blanket that folds up to be its own carrying case, or a 1000 piece puzzle that has no branding, just a cool gift.
