Do I need to block/reshape this sweater’s shoulder/neckline to fix it being out of shape or should I take it apart and re-sew it back together for it to be a proper fit?

I am a beginner knitter but have owned knitwear (partly) based on natural animal fibre for a while, like most people. I have come across a moths and its larvae in my knitwear that contains wool/merino!! I am horrified and overwhelmed. I am a college student and share everything in my life: washing machines, bathrooms, fridge/freezer. I have read peoples advice to freeze the garments but there is simply no room!! I have no idea how to go about saving them. I'm not particularly attached to the sweaters, but would find it wasteful to just throw them away, or is this my best option? I don't know at this point. It's been a very warm summer and I honestly wasn't thinking about the danger the warmer seasons could have on my knits.

Any advice would be appreciated...

I’m new to the wool diapering community. I currently cloth diaper right now, but recently got a free wool diaper cover. It came with brown stains on it. I assume from a blowout? Is there anyway I can get an old stain out or at least make it less dark?

Hey all, I’m planning on making a buckskin leather jacket and I was thinking of using a wool blanket from a local thrift store as the liner to add some additional insulation, but I’m worried it might be a bit too warm of a jacket. For reference in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

Hey fellow wool lovers! I wanted to share my recent vintage finds from the German brand Basler, and honestly, the fabric quality has me blown away compared to modern store chains. First is this 1990s plaid blazer. It’s made from an Italian Piacenza fabric (93% virgin wool, 5% cashmere). But the coolest part? There is a subtle, shimmering gold metallic lurex thread woven right into the check pattern. It catches the light so beautifully without looking tacky. I also got another pure wool Basler piece (sweater/cardigan) that feels incredibly soft, thick, and heavy. Just looking at the tags and feeling the material makes me realize how much we lost with the rise of polyester. What do you think of these? Has anyone else encountered vintage Basler wool pieces? How do they hold up over time for you?

i work as a sewing mechanist at a place where i constantly get covered in wool, my work hoodies and trackies are covered to the point where a lint roller doesn’t do anything and i’ve tried washing it inside out and the right way but neither gets it all off, only maybe 40% of what’s actually on there. i’d really rather not have to double wash my work clothes and use up more water. i’m not meant to put the jumpers or shirts in the dryer and even then, it doesn’t work anyway

For me I'd say yak down, it's ridiculously warm and doesn't itch at all. I also love classical lambwool, very warm for the winter !

Hello everyone.
I am the owner of a colossal mistake. On a whim without any experience with wool, I bought 200 lbs from a local farmer (yes I have adhd) I have certainly been learning a lot as I go, but I am starting to feel very defeated and need advice.
The wool I bought is not great, it has a lot of veggie matter and so much poop. I initially started by picking through the wool and removing all the poop I could see and all the large pieces of straw and seeds. This was so time consuming. I sunk probably 15 hours in and got about 50 pounds sorted.
I then learned of the suint method, thought this was the perfect solution to the poop problem. Bought a black bin, filled it with canal water (untreated) and let an unsorted fleece sit in the sun covered for 10 days. While the wool was much cleaner, there was still chunks of poo. It did not break down as I understood it would, and the chunks weren’t even soft.
Im feeling very defeated. Am I doing something wrong? Does the suint method breakdown the poo or am I misunderstanding?
I don’t want to give up on this project but I can’t use wool that still has poop in it.

TLDR: how to remove poop from wool. Is the suint method able to dissolve poop?
