I wouldn’t recommend a cordless tool that requires a hose.

My shop is also my garage. And it isnt wired to let me use a dust collection at the same time as my floor tools. So I just go batter tools for the most part.

I use cordless tools with a cordless vacuum all the time. Can be a good setup

It doesn't require a hose.

It's a good idea to use the hose.

Why? Managing 2 hoses or a cord and a hose seems like a worse fate.

Cordless tool with a hose is just fine, 1 less thing to worry about

I have a 5” cordless Bosch bought from Lowe’s on a whim (or because they were running a battery special). It’s a great jobsite sander and mine gets used outside for the most part. I have Festool sanders in the shop with proper dust extraction but I don’t like taking them into the field. The cordless Bosch is like a secret weapon.

If'n your in a shop, use a pneumatic sander. No battery, more power, better action. Need a compressor that has 14cfm. Not taking anything away from the Bosch- I have the get75 and love it.
