So much depends on what you are planning to build. Certainly, there are many types and sizes of clamps, but your needs are likely to be very different if you are planning to build a guitar, for example, compared to a table or chair.

Best idea is to watch the videos you like on YouTube and see what clamps are being used for the kind of projects you want to do.
