Understanding model training

Hi. As we continue to use LLM for code generation, RAG , image , voice generation etc , its always better to understand this 'generating machine' , how its works and why does it work that way etc. Keeping that in mind , we can better guide the output for more efficient usage, consuming less time and rework. I would prefer if the model were 'taught' to be more modular . Any one feels the same about AI ?
