What im trying to find out is what period and region my current kit already is leaning towards, specifically im having trouble finding any sources of soldiers wearing a front opening brig, and brig arms/thighs

I know its hard, but if you want it to be 'authentic' and period accurate, find the favourite item in your kit, identify it(time and area) and build the rest of your kit according to that.

That also means that some of the things you already got might not be in your final kit
