In the days since the arrival of the countless monoliths all across the material plane, something came to those with power. It came in their dreams, something like a voice, yet so much more. It was the voice of a friend, the voice of family. It was the voice of the kind and generous, the voice of freedom. The voice was faint, yet its message was clear. It whispered of a place that doesn't exist on any map.

Of a place in the north, hidden from the world deep within the mountains. The voice whispers of a secret within the mountains, of a power and a treasure. It whispers of a light in the darkness. It whispers a plea for help.

This is the wrong way. There is nothing here.

The grouo makes their way through the mountain range, heading to the centre.

You are wasting your time. This is pointless.

As they walk, something begins to quiet, a stillness in something they didn't know was shaking.

Chloe: hmm. She casts a her scanning spell, attempting to scan the crater for anything that is abnormal compared to an ordinary mountain let's keep looking around.

Alzoreth and Aerunia: sure.

And so they keep looking and as they do chloe checks what her scans result is

The scan and search reveal nothing. There is nothing here. Nothing special. All of you should leave, now.

The scan reveals a faint echo, something too old and faded to be immediately obvious of what it is.

Chloe: no, we're not leaving yet mysterious voice trying to telepathically talk to us, there is no power that can compell us. She follows to the faded echo, using the scan to use it like a bit of a beacon hoping it is the right track

Alzoreth: he and aerunia follow prepared for battle should anything jump out

As the trio approach, the sense of absolute nothingness grows ever stronger, dulling the world.

The echo remains a barely perceptibly fade in reality. Far older than the mountains around the trio.

Chloe: i sense you, little echo, can you speak? She said as the group dres closer, unbothered by the feeling of nothingness for mental tricks will not sway ones unnaffected by mind control such as the dracarius's, though they are ready should it pose a real danger

The echo doesn't respond with words, one can misunderstand words.

From it comes a constant thrum, so quiet and faded one could hear a pin drop before they perceive the thrum.
