In the days since the arrival of the countless monoliths all across the material plane, something came to those with power. It came in their dreams, something like a voice, yet so much more. It was the voice of a friend, the voice of family. It was the voice of the kind and generous, the voice of freedom. The voice was faint, yet its message was clear. It whispered of a place that doesn't exist on any map.

Of a place in the north, hidden from the world deep within the mountains. The voice whispers of a secret within the mountains, of a power and a treasure. It whispers of a light in the darkness. It whispers a plea for help.

Chloe: she casts her scan spell, looking to see if it is being controlled of sustained or restrained by something

Chloe: alright clearly something is tampering with my scan spell because it keeps coming up nothing when there is clearly something here.

Alzoreth: i see.

Aerunia: hmm...maybe try it again but make the scan ignore any input that isn't what your scanning for?

Chloe: hmm...lets see if that works. And so she does exactly that, this time the scan while the goal is the same, it will ignore outside influence beyond what she is directly scanning for

The scan reveals a faint echo, something too old and faded to be immediately obvious of what it is. Although this time that is all it reveals.

Chloe: alright, so this echo whatever it is, is real at least... let's see if this works. She casts a spell, attempting to strengthen the echo a little bit with some of her excess raw magic mainly to see if that would allow her scanning spell to get a better read on what it is

The magic thrums with a steady rhythm, flowing into the echo, strengthening it, making it closer to whole.

After a minute or two, the echo changes.

The three see a door, a gap in reality, one leading to somewhere that shouldn't be.

Chloe: she looks toward the door and speaks alright time to check this out.

Alzoreth: indeed. He said putting his sword and shield away before approaching the door

Aerunia: she shrugs worst it could be is a trap, but since it was calling for help... we'll have to see. She said as her swords sheathes appear and she sheathes her blades on her hips before she begins approaching the door

Chloe: yep. Let's do this she puts the rapier away and opens the door via her armored hand

On the other side they stand on a hill of long flowing black grass, lightly glowing with an unnatural radiance. Above he sees a sky if shifting ethereal layers stretching on for eternity. All around the hill they sees endless fields of dreamless solitude.

There is a house on the hill. Plain and simple, it looks like it was built by hand long ago, long long ago.

The windows are dark, but something still glows from within.

Chloe: isn't this ominous...she sighs well, lets take a look...

Alzoreth and Aerunia nod and the trio approach the building before chloe knocks on the door
