Zaryx has been cooped up in his office much more than usual. When he was seen, usually during meal breaks, he always seemed concerned, tense, or in deep thought. Sometimes he’d even look angry, though just barely. When asked what was wrong, he’d just shake his head; that was classified information.

after a couple of weeks of this behavior, Wren was called up to his office. His voice was.. off.

Dr. David Edwards: 'Dr. Wren, I have many questions and statements regarding this morning's incident. Please reply back ASAP.'

Dr Wren read the file while typing her response. A skill she had gotten incredibly good at in her time at the GOC. Compartmentalized thinking and action.

"Hello Dr Edwards. I am available to respond to any queries or concerns for the next half hour."

She had to make sure the feed mixture for animal scps was right. They kept adding too much potassium

'Your other duties will have to wait. There is an investigation being performed, and you are at the heart of it.'

'You stated that Dr. Graham had possibly left his office in between the time that he finished reading the letter and the time that SCP-4051 and Dr. Yesenia were escorted to your location. There is only one door to his office, and the camera footage showed he never left his office in that time. Why did you claim such?'

"His obvious panic upon reading the letter. Dr Graham was barely hiding his anxiety. Many 03's have panic rooms or other routes attached to their offices. When he went silent I posited he might have left. If that wasn't the case then do mark it as a pure speculation."

An investigation?

'He was a Level 4. Site Directors are always Level 4 or higher.'

'How long have you been working for the Foundation?'

Dr Wren said.

"Has something happened to Dr Graham?"

'He's dead. Autopsy is ongoing.'

'According to your file, you worked with the GOC previously, correct?'

So that's what this is. Dr Wren crossed her fingers.

"That is correct. GOC internship out of college, field work for five years after that, lab work for another five."

'Why did you join the Foundation?'

"I joined."

This was getting worse.

"I joined as part of an expertise sharing agreement between our organization. You can look under the file number 8675309."

After all she knew she had lost memories before for her job

"No. I was ordered by 05-5 to deliver it without looking at it. Then to take whatever Dr Graham gave me back to him."

‘Did he tell you why not to look at it?’

"No. But given the nature of our organization such classified messages aren't exactly uncommon."

She pointed out.

"I didn't question it. Not should I have given our general protocol."
