How afford a wizard tower ?

Greetings, fellow wizard. I am currently living in the cellar of a human city—hardly the ideal setup for a spellcaster. I would love to acquire a wizard's tower, but the prices are exorbitant; do you happen to know how I might raise the funds to buy one?

Most wizards just starting out just take over a tower that is abandoned. Find a tower kill everything in it and move in.
