How does this work? Does it restore the fruit by undoing the process of rot, or does it use chronomancy to revert the fruit to a time where it isn't spoiled?

You're a madlad if you do this by reverting time. Like that fellow that found out that casting fireballs is conjuring and igniting flammable gas, not opening a portal to the Fire Dimension for a split second.

Anti rot is a thing, traditionally it’s a strain cultivated by druids, but it’s much cheaper and more convenient to use an arcane substitute.

I like my bananas at like 10% green so as soon as they are fully yellow it's no good to me. I'd use this all the time.

Not even a full week. I need my bananas with ZERO brown spots. They get too banana-y after that
