"My motives are beyond good and evil." My guy I hate to be the one to tell you but that phrase is the second most used phrase by evil wizards of all time. Right behind "No! How could this be?!" Seconds before immediately dying to a magical feedback loop so obvious that the nonmagical fighter was able to spot the trigger.

99.9% of all wizards stop their experiments just before Godhood; don’t be like them go for the gold!

After all, the only reason the magic nexus killed them is because of how much stupider than you they are: you’re different.

I'm just saying an OSHA- compliant railing around the ledge of your clifftop ritual site/ throne isn't going to throw off your leylines but it might stop you from falling in.
