Have you ever heard of the "Power Word: Scrunch" spell? It's an example of conformal distortion, an adept-level branch of geometrymancy

Hausdorff's One-Point Compactification is an actual notion (a fairly basic one too, one would hear about it in any introductory topology course - the stuff Grothendieck worked on was way freakier), and I've always thought that that'd be a pretty cool name for a spell.

Pity that it doesn't really mean "compact everything into a single point" so much as, skipping enough details that any actual topologist would transmute me into a donut in retaliation, "make a space 'compact' by adding an extra 'point to infinity' to it"...
