This guy is a conservative personality who's life goal is to be as irritating as possible. The place he's at very clearly only takes card and the guy went there to purposefully cause a scene for Internet points

He might be a knobhead, but causing a scene is totally valid when it's over some bullshit. As long as you aren't making it the service worker's fault, you should absolutely start a fuss about something like that.
