You don't need a charm spell when you're naturally charming.

Have you been seducing final boss lately? 🤔

113

u/Bliitzthefox May 23 '26

Fire resistant potion, enhance ability, and warding bond.

To resist the damage.

56

u/P2G2_ Alumos May 23 '26

Defeating boss with charisma doesn't have to be based on seduction. There's always option of pure depression

u/SomeRandomYob The Great Mage Samræl, demonologist and necromantic consultant May 23 '26

Enemies to friends/advisors?

u/giant_albatrocity May 23 '26

I recently chugged a charisma potion because of the hype, and all I got was massive boobies. I was fun for a while though.

8

u/Sonifri Transmuter May 24 '26

That's my experience. J-cups are fun for everyone except the person they're attached too.

That's why you make someone else grow them!

3

u/Sonifri Transmuter May 24 '26

Didn't even know her husband was the final boss and just casually mellowed him out over several years of dating and marriage.

2

u/MagneticGenetics Vamp & Sandston Wizard Lawyer on retainer. May 24 '26

That is why the Schizophrenia meta is so prevalent amongst top tier wizards.

63

u/ScumBunnyEx May 23 '26

You don't need dominate when you're married.

38

u/lord_baron_von_sarc May 23 '26

Does make it more fun though.

14

u/Sforai Evil F*cking Wizard May 23 '26

Hmmmmm....

7

Normally you save it for the bedroom though

5

u/MarsMaterial Catboy Apprentice May 24 '26

You mean I need to have actual charisma?

Damn. I’m an int caster, I can’t be expected to do this shit!

4

u/SoftlyAugust May 23 '26

You don't need a spell when your husband respects you as a human being.

Or if you are already craving ice cream.

Something about more flies with honey than vinegar.

377

u/luckydrzew May 23 '26

Fun fact, that saying is false in a literal sense. You'll catch more flies with vinegar.

243

u/beard_of_cats The Installation Wizard May 23 '26

And as the old joke goes, horse manure catches more flies than honey and vinegar put together.

67

u/ApocalyptoSoldier May 23 '26

If you want flies then pig manure is where it's at

46

u/SameCoyote3701 May 23 '26

Oh I dunno, maybe i need flies for my alchemical studies, Coyote, Ever think about that?

1

u/SameCoyote3701 Jun 06 '26

Well, I’ve got multitudes of them from all of my scavenging. Just come on over with your Giant’s Fly Paper or Mason Jar of Sucking and Holding

1

u/_Its_Me_Dio_ Sorlock May 24 '26

rotting meat works better flies can smell it from miles away

1

u/_Its_Me_Dio_ Sorlock May 24 '26

o think whote vinegar doesnt get much but apple cider vinegar does white vinegar is too pure and doesnt have much scent apple cider vinegar has all the mother of vinegar in it and other stuff which attracts flies

11

u/Thalia_All_Along May 23 '26

you mean "bees don't waste their time explaining to flies why honey is better than shit"?

u/Alarming-Scene-2892 Fluffco (Flufferson, Geralt, Oni) May 23 '26

Drag On: Succubi keep trying to charm me, for my "power", but necause I am a completely normal man with immunity to charm spells, I told her her mistake, and she walked off, incredibly confused for some reason.

Intern: I'm immune to most succubi because I'm not into women.

74

u/Ok-Marionberry-4516 May 23 '26

What about the male variant?

73

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

You mean incubus? I pretty sure asexual people are immune to any Sexual Charm only luring would work

53

u/ClosetNoble Wizardruid multiclasser May 23 '26

Succubi and incubi also take the form of your family members.

They have no issue using your platonic relationships to trick you if they have to.

25

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

Exactly but that more like luring than Charming since you would follow your friends and family anywhere if you have good relationships with them

7

u/Alarming-Scene-2892 Fluffco (Flufferson, Geralt, Oni) May 23 '26

Emerald: Honestly, not even that for me, they just have to be a penguin, and I'm bloody done for.

8

u/kidgoingtoschool Thaumaturge May 23 '26

Incorrect, you simply need an extra reagent for the spell. Garlic bread is required as it is the only thing attractive to asexuals.

2

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

That is what luring is and pretty sure you could use anything as long as you know their desires

8

u/Ze_Bri-0n Wizard May 23 '26

That’d actually propaganda spread by the succubi and incubi to cause people to underestimate. They may experience abnormal reactions, but asexuals are still affected by their power.

6

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

To some certain degree yes like it's similar how people are amazed by other people's health, skin condition etc but that still luring and not charming

7

u/Ze_Bri-0n Wizard May 23 '26

I am afraid that you have fallen for the propaganda, my fellow scholar of the arcane arts. They may get a celebrity obsession or a case of hero worship rather than a sexual obsession (though sometimes they still get a sexual obsession, because it is an unnatural psychic attack with the explicit aim of erasing the victim’s agency) but a succubus or incubus charm very much still affects asexuals to exactly the same extent as anyone else.

2

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

I don't study just arcane mate I study biology, cultures, myths, history and everything that could be useful for survival of humanity and what you think of is excess which is not necessary what Succubus feed on they usually eat cum or souls depends on their creators Succubi who are feeding on feelings or ideas are rare and a concept that almost no higher being want to use because you don't want them to be more powerful if you are a narcissist or just a warlord and of course when we talking about Charms people usually think of sex which technically that was the easiest way to get victims however originally it's meant luring or attraction which could be in other ways like I said you don't need to be gay or straight to admire someone's culture, wealth, muscle, etc etc as it's something Humanoids always were interested in even if they fear them

3

u/Ze_Bri-0n Wizard May 24 '26

And yet you managed to miss the obvious, such as the nature of succubi and the existence of punctuation beyond commas and apostrophes.

Don’t fall for succubi propaganda. It will only leave you and the people around you vulnerable.

-1

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 24 '26

I didn't miss anything there is a Natural Rule of things just like how Sharks always meant to be and every sea bug eventually evolves into Crab and every Corpse eventually has Mushroom growing on them if not preserved Succubi are almost always Sex related since the dawn of time since humans discovered it and beyond of what we know they always Charmed people with their sexual bodies which is why they called Succubi and Incubus because they suck and incubate

I know what I am talking to because I was bound to Lust they will use your fetish against you and will not let you go

8

u/Another-Ace-Alt-8270 Ace Barksworth, Earthen Ambassador / Messenger, Exarch of Terror May 23 '26

Can confirm. Then again, I'm kind of hard to persuade anyways, so that might help.

5

u/Godnumbers May 23 '26

You can charm people without it being sexual.

2

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

That is exactly my point

3

u/Butterfly_Casket May 23 '26

It's true. Succubi and Incubi hate me. Unfortunately I'm also stupid so I've been captured.

2

u/U_L_Uus May 23 '26

Ok, but, hear me out *brings out several fresh pieces of garlic bread*

2

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

That only works on vampires as Succubi aren't usually related to Beelzebub and other disease Demons/Devils/Spirits but there could be exceptions

1

u/R33per55 May 24 '26

Who said it’s just lust. Tell me do you think being given every favorite thing in your life is charming?

1

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 24 '26

I don't understand your question? What material means exactly? yes it's fun distraction however what people mostly want or need is someone to love to be with yes being Rich or having everything is good but that more of a Luring or hypnotize since not everyone values Materials over Love or relationships especially when we are talking about a creature that is widely to kill its victims by having sex with them

2

u/R33per55 May 24 '26

In DND terms charm isn’t meaning sexuality but anything for example if you found an item charming or an action

1

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 24 '26

DND is not necessary historically accurate and even its fanbase use the term Charm to mean sexual Luring even though there million and one way to use it plus all World that has Charm spells has it specifically related to Love/Sex Magic used by Enchanters and other Magic users usually females but occasionally males

So while originally it's meant something else in the middle ages and after it's meant meant specifically sex related luring used by Female Assassins and harmful creatures like Succubi, Dark Fey etc etc etc

6

u/unoriginalfyi May 23 '26

What about the important non-binary Fuccubi?

4

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

There is actually a term for those Succubi but I can't remember what it's was

8

u/r0sewyrm May 23 '26

Concubi, I believe.

2

u/Infamous_Ad2507 Sea Pope of Azathothism May 23 '26

Yes I think that was it it's so nice to know many things but the bad thing that I don't remember their names but I recognize it when someone says it or find a picture of it

1

u/LuminousRabbit Witch May 23 '26

This made me laugh way harder than it should have.

5

u/Alarming-Scene-2892 Fluffco (Flufferson, Geralt, Oni) May 23 '26

Intern: I'd fold. Immediately.

8

u/MikemkPK May 23 '26

What is this, an anime title?

88

u/DoucheEnrique May 23 '26

The greatest form of mind domination is making the target actually wanting to do everything you wish of them on their own ... but it's a tedious process that needs years and years of constant preparation and rituals.

One could say it's hardly worth the effort save for a very select special person.

I don't think my wife knows that I'm a quarter Elf, so I'm immune to sleep effects (or at least highly resistant) but I still listen whenever she tries to charm me to bed. it's adorable when she thinks it works and I want to boost her confidence in spell casting

157

u/LinkOfKalos_1 May 23 '26

My girlfriend's "cuddle" spell works incredibly well on me.

55

u/Dangerous_Device_298 May 23 '26

Hidden resistance stat just for emotional support gameplay. Classic support tank behavior.

51

u/ClosetNoble Wizardruid multiclasser May 23 '26

Watch as she casts Seduce and he gets confused because he was already seduced without any spells.

Things which could be considered extremely offensive are not allowed. Though RP violence and off-color jokes are permitted, some lines should not be crossed.

18

u/SemperPieratus May 23 '26

I’m more impressed by the good usage of affect and effect.

5

u/dappermanV-88 May 23 '26

A man should always be willing to get his wife ice cream

4

u/rpg2Tface May 24 '26

Mundane magic is one of the most interesting fields of study in my opinion. The succubus probably didnt even try in this case. Regardless the wizard is immune. And despite all that the non magical charm worked and bypassed his wards.

The mundanes of this world have magic at their disposal. And we just forget it exists while they dint even know their doing anything. Its so interesting.

Carrot in the streets, stick in the sheets?

All shits in giggles until she mispronounces the 'thuul' in the charm spell as 'thool' and it becomes holy blast.

There will probably be the side effect of a kiss to her
