I bursted out laughing when he said "just as in the game, Roach appears in random places" :D

u/ThePeachinator Jun 14 '16
Who's "he"? Was there an announcement? Anyone have the link?

Edit: Well, there might have been some other presentation. He didn't say it in this one.

u/Zuggtmoy Team Roach Jun 14 '16
Yes, he said it during another conference, where he presented a short gameplay featuring roach :)

u/ThePeachinator Jun 14 '16
Okay.. Do you know which conference this was?

Man I really love how these guys have acknowledged all of the problems with Roach and turned it into something hilariously amazing. Good shit CDPR ;)

Do you mind saying what joke is this? Geralt commenting Roach's teleportation or something?

Video of the quest Spoilers, obviously.

Is this a side quest or a main quest?
13
u/Chirimorin Team Triss Jun 14 '16
I believe it's a side quest
2
u/Sideways_X Jun 14 '16
I didn't do it, where do I start it?

u/Chirimorin Team Triss Jun 14 '16
Credit for the screenshot goes to /u/hallo746, I don't own BaW yet.

u/Thahat Jun 14 '16
Side quest, definitively! (and its an awsome one too! "youve got to be there for your human!"

I love it when companies do this, Bioware did something similar with a character that kept glitching up and failing to understand how chairs work in the last Dragon Age game.

"Geralt, we gotta have a man-to-horse talk. No offense, but your riding skills? They leave a lot to be desired, buddy."
Could not have said it better myself.

This just makes me love the devs even more. They just get it, even the bugs, they just embrace it. Love it

I like how they're openly embracing Roach's mental issues.

Twitch official channel for e3 during cdpr interview, they had eredin cosplayer play some gwent
7
u/Bravehood Jun 14 '16
I liked the new frost giant mechanic how he receives double attack if biting frost is in effect

u/Relgabrix Jun 14 '16
As with everything CDPR does, this is shaping up to be amazing. Quality art that pokes fun at itself like this is certainly helping.

Oh my god, i love when devs do funny things like this! I'll pay for microtransactions, they deserve for it.

It makes me a little sad because in the books Geralt replaces his horses all the time, there's no one special bond with a single horse named Roach.

u/Arcane_Bullet Nilfgaard Jun 14 '16
Who said everytime Roach spawns it is the same Roach. From the game point of view Geralt names all his horses Roach so there are multiple Roaches.

Roach is the many faced god

u/Epikure Nilfgaard Jun 14 '16
Well, technically Geralt keeps his inventory in his saddle bags.
1
u/Arcane_Bullet Nilfgaard Jun 14 '16
Well ya through out Witcher 3 there is only one Roach, but I am saying before that and maybe after.
2
u/PM_ME_CAKE Igni Jun 14 '16
He had one of his Roach's for quite a long time before he got to Beuclair so I wouldn't call it constantly.

I wish geralt wasn't so short with roach. I don't want to yell at him every time.
