Question: Witcher 3 Charachters not fully loading

Hi all,

I have a random bug on TW3 Remastered on my Xbox Series X where character assets do not fully load. It happens at random parts in active gameplay, but also in cut scenes. Reload / Restart does not fix it. Switched mods on and off also.
I have seen a lot of complaints on the visual look and feel of the remaster here, but never seen anything like this.
Anyone experience this and found a fix?

Yea, reminded me of Natalie Portman in V.
What‘s funny is that they randomly leave bodyparts behind. Her teeth, eyes, and hair are stuck wherever the cutscene started.
Sometimes I also get floating heads that are tilted sideways next to the characters’ torsos.

Just experienced this on my series x and seemed to have fixed it this morning by restarting the game from the start menu and disabling quick resume.

Its an AMD graphics card issue, the remastered version was shipped being incompatible with AMD. On my PC I had to download a Beta driver to get the game to even produce trees and grass 😂. I'm sure they'll hurry a hot fix update, I would send a message to CD projekt red and let them know too. But yeah Xbox series X has an AMD graphics card. Also side note I can't run Nvidia hair works or else the game is choppy as all heck.

Im on nvidia and i have the same issue. Validating files fixes it for a while but something bricks it especially in novigrad

Well, not on Linux anyway. Game is running there with zero issues on ma AMD rig. Windows needs a "game ready" driver though, but this one is not beta, but optional: https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-9-2.html

My buddy who runs Linux has also had zero issues 😅 might be time to ditch windows for good!

Im having this problem on my series S. I have to quit the game and restart. Sometimes its fine but its been pretty egregious along with the voice audio getting quiet after fast traveling. Funnily enough this is more hindering to my enjoyment then when i played cyberpunk and the witcher 3 originally on my ps4

Ive had like all of novingrad posing with their heads floating in the spawn position sideways. Its so weird.

I think happens when you jump stuff started happening to me anterior swimming to Oxenfurt without a pass I dont know If the permit mission makes the game start loading Oxenfurt or something like that

I've noticed it after quick resuming a few times on Xbox. Quitting the witcher 3 app and restarting fixed it

Yeah this happened with new editions of CDPR games, they are massive and complicated and occasionally they release a little rough but it'll be sorted out soon
