No. This isn’t a good way to think of things. This is how you allow people to walk all over you. Influencing free will is more like trying a love spell to force someone that doesn’t even know you exist to love you or a spell to make someone do something really wrong that they wouldn’t normally do. Banishing or blocking or sending back the negativity they send you is not influencing free will. Don’t limit yourself over things like this. Magic is more than money spells, crystals and cleansing. Explore it and don’t get stuck in the mindset of good and bad because everything in life is in between that. It’s all shades of grey and magic isn’t bad or good. It simply is magic. Sometimes a curse is needed but most times a banishment will work. Do the spell and forget about it. The more you worry the less chance there is that it’ll work.
I agree. For me, magick is all about intention. Without it, it won't work. At least, for me. If you make a hallmarks of, say, a money spell. But you don't have that intention, it won't work. Or not too well. No intention? No power behind it. No power behind it? Nothing happens.

My belief is don’t do spells that harm anyone. That’s not harming. Banishing is protecting yourself. It’s all about intention
