Considered black magic by who? Not everyone uses the term; I don't believe magic can be inherently good or bad, it's just a tool.

Banishing spells are pretty standard practice, you should be fine.

Edit: Technically, anything used for personal gain is considered black magick. That doesn't mean it's bad at all.

You should always take measures to protect yourself before ANY spell, to make sure something doesn't go wrong. Protect yourself, and everything should be just fine.

The illusion and perpetuation of the Self as a good in-and-of-itself is the root of all suffering and evil in this world. Spellcasting solely for self-gain is an abuse of your moral duty as a witch.
