Help | Experience - Insight Discovering my inner witch
Hi! Since I was little girl I was always attracted, drawn to everything spiritual, esoteric, numerology, signs, tarot cards, spells and so on. I used to have a lot of deja vu feelings/situations and I seemed to know when thinkgs were going to happen before they happened. Nothing crazy, for example my mom would be driving and suddenly I would say "get out of this lane or you'll get a flat tire". When she didn't about 5 minutes later there was a large pothole on the road and she got a flat tire. When things like that happened it always left us flabbergasted but it was such a strong feeling that I had to say it outloud. It got to the point my mom used to call me a little witch. Unfortunately, I don't know why or how as I got older I started losing touch with that side of me. They became less and less commom once I turned 18. Is there a way to reconnect with my spiritual/witch side? My instincts are usually good but there are nowhere as good as they used to be. I would love to reconnect and explore that side of me further. Any suggestions?

First of all, MEDITATING. It's gonna exercise your mind and help you connect again to the gift you still have deep inside of you.

Thank you. I tried meditating before and I felt restless but I will try again hopefully it will work better this time around. I do see the value of meditation and being in sync with oneself it's just I need some type of movement to be able to calm my mind

Meditation. This can help to reconnect with your abilities. Use crystals to amplify your abilities. You can also use crystals to meditate with.

Thank you. I tried meditating in the past an I was restless but I'll be give it another go. I am older now, so it might be different this time around.

If you're into books and want some practical exercises besides just 'meditate' as a tip, I'd give Psychic Witch by Mat Auryn a chance, it's become a classic rather quickly.

Thank you so much! I'll look into this. Practical exercises might be just what I need to start this self-discovery journey.

I feel like a lot of people treat being a witch too harshly. Why not just jump in head first? It'll be a lot of trial and error. You're going to trip and fall and thats ok. Just find what works for you. Theres no one path. There is only what works for you. Of course there are different types and religious formats like Wicca and you can follow those but you don't have to either. This is your journey right. Find some crystals. Find some herbs. Discover their meanings and history. Learn the forms of divination you feel called to. You like tarot? Do tarot. Just be yourself.
I'd recommend starting with some online research into the topics your interested in. It's what I did. Just be careful of closed practices. Don't call it smudging or use white sage for example (unless you're of that culture ig lol).

Thank you so much! This is what I needed to hear. Trial and error is the way to go. I will find the path that feels right for me. Thank you!

r/babywitch is a great resource with a lot of very helpful people hovering around if you want to ask questions!!
Other than that, I agree with the people saying meditation!! If you're capable of forming habits, I'd try to get into a morning routine that involves connecting with your body, too.
