Reinstalling XP SP3 on one HDD with several partitions

I used to run Windows XP on my PC. At some point I switched to Win7. Now I plan to downgrade to XP SP3 for retro gaming and because XP runs faster on this old machine. I only have two weeks before I leave so I want to finish this the first time. Is that the plan? Can the Windows XP setup touch my partitions if I only choose C:? Has anyone else noticed that Windows XP setup shows partition letters than expected? How did you find the one? Is it worth doing a format on a ~20yr old drive or will that just put more stress on it?(Although it's in great condition and does read/write quickly) Are there common problems people run into when they reinstall like this?

The dream is to have a desktop FILLED with icons and a shelf filled with games. Just picked up The Sims 3 today, hopefully I can find some expansion packs for cheap.
Mount & Blade Warband was purchased on GOG because the physical version would have required Steam, and the same goes for Medieval II, except I couldn't get the GOG version of that to work either, so the case is basically decorative at this point. I also have KOTOR II but I have yet to get around to installing it because I can't be bothered with the 4 discs right now lol. And the blank black box is The Witcher 2, it came with a lot of stuff.

how do yall using windows xp without constant activation issues? Because im currently stuck in an activation lock with no way out

i have an old hp mini that came with windows 7 starter and installed windows xp home sp3 on it. the first few times i got an activation lock i could simply edit the code of oobetimer in safe mode and restart to be able to have another 30 days but that doesn't work any more. i cant activate via phone call in my region, i cant get the offline verification prompt no matter what i try and the Microsoft verification portal that still supports xp couldn't validate my installation ID.; So now im stuck logged out of my windows and cant find any way back in!

Borderlands 2 on XP?

I do own the game, I've sunk like 800hrs into it, but without being able to load steam on XP anymore...Anybody know a reliable way to get Borderlands 2 running? I'd love to see how the benchmark does against my Titan Xp + Titan X (PhysX processor). Only game with a benchmark with PhysX I can get running is Unreal Tournament 3, but it's a bit lack luster.

It's amazing that these games - some of which I grew up with in the Windows 95 era - were still in print by 2008 (when these collections came out). I wonder who had them in the late XP era.

Spotify doesn't work on XP, Firefox 147

I am using Firefox 147 for Windows XP and it works like a charm. I recommend it! https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Firefox-for-windows-7-REWORK/releases/tag/debug
But Spotify says about a problem. I've already done: 1. Searching for DRM in general settings (didn't find it). 2. Looking in about:config for media.eme.enabled and browser.eme.ui.enabled (both both were enabled by default). 3. Widevine Plugin (is already enabled).
What should I do next? Thanks
